About Writing

Nothing is linear.  Events beget events and tales beget tales in sometimes finite and sometimes infinite forms.  In the mind they meander, divide, array themselves in chains, circles, and segments, become entangled, fold back on themselves, fade without ending, arise without warning, attract and repel, hide one within another.  To capture a moment and recount its unfolding is to become surgeon to memory – Where to cut and what to stitch.
