Unexpected heritage.

In my father’s maternal line we find my 4th GGF David Carter, who was born in East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey on 20 Feb 1758 and died in Franklin County, Georgia on 16 Dec 1849. DAR Ancestor #: A019903.

Not only does this plaque show we’ve been disaffected with a variety of governments, it’s the starting point for my daughter, sister, and three nieces to become members of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
