In 1873, 3rd GGU William Wood Downs’ daughter Henrietta married Robert Blanks Parrot, who had been a Private in Mosby’s Regiment of the Virginia Cavalry (Mosby’s Rangers). Robert was a POW from December 1864 to June 1865 and after the war went on to be a person of renown in Waco.

That’s pretty seriously Southern.
